Great afternoon out although thought we were stopping on the way back for the swim not on the way.... Plenty of time on spinalonga to explore. Great Guide Gloria fabulous job. Prices on the island ridiculously high. Let down by the state of the toilets on board the boat....disgusting no tissue and no locks no hand towels or.working hand dryers. No where else to change after the swim so pretty nasty trying to put on dry clothing in there. Paid £72 for 5 adults so reasonable.
We had THE BEST, most authentic day on our tour with Petra. On the day of the tour, we had just spent 3 days in Athens and ten days in Crete and thought we had seen and learned it all... but Petra was the sweetest, most informative guide I’ve ever met! We enjoyed fresh, local food and we were shown a side of Greece we only wished for. Definitely our best day of the whole trip by far!
The island is incredibly beautiful! It's definitely worth it to walk to the beach on the other part of the island to get a view of the Crete island and the turquoise water. But the boat trip wasn't that great. We were there at 10 am and left at 11:15. The crew waited for anyone who wanted to join. Considering the Coronavirus regulations, you could say the ship was overcrowded.
An interesting tour, for a reasonable price, especially if you like to spend a little time on a boat. Perhaps a little more information during the trip would be welcome, though as it was, the guide seemed to be enjoying himself which set the tone for a fun excursion. Snacks and drinks on board were also reasonably priced.
Lovely day trip. Beautiful weather made it so much nicer. The boat trip was predominantly German so the announcements where all in German, I get that. But would of been nice to have English announcements about the island while on the boat. Food as awesome and the beach was beautiful sandy. Would go again.
