We got the three day pass and it was an excellent way to see the city. The first day we rode the entire loop, our tour guide Mary was wonderful at pointing out restaurants and conveying the history of NOLA. She was very knowledgeable and amusing. The next two days we hopped on and off, and it was never a long wait for the next bus. We also took the Garden District your that was included in the three day pass. Our tour guide Paige was the best tour guide I think I've ever come across. She was funny and filled with fun facts. My husband remarked that kids would do better in history class is they had a teacher like Paige. She was one talented brilliant broad! I would recommend the red busses to anyone looking to learn about the city and get around easily. It may be touristy...but hey, we were tourists and proud of it!
The passes were easy to pick up on Canal Street. I went to each place the cards were scanned with no problem. Everyone was friendly,open, and very accommodating! One thing if you do the swamp tour, and want to go early in the morning call ahead. Reservations recommend there!
We got a three day pass. Went around the whole route the first day. We went back to the garden district for the tour, which was very good, and also to see the shops on Magazine Street. We also used it to go to Mardi Gras World. The French Quarter tour was also good.
It was a good choice if transportation around New Orleans. But when u ride 1 1/2 before 5:30 they won’t take u where u want to go coz bus stop at 5:30. They should take the people to the stop where they want to go if they are in the bus before 5:30
It was a great way to get an overview of the city if New Orleans. We did the entire circuit first to see where we might want to get off and tour, the guide got a little repetitive - but again we road the whole circuit so I guess it can be expected.
