Full description
Enter a world of discovery and adventure at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Explore the 42-acre tropical oasis which highlights the beauty and culture of 6 island villages through engaging demonstrations, theatrical performances, and educational activities. Begin your hassle-free experience right away with an expert guide who will lead the way. The Polynesian Cultural Center offers foreign-language guides who speak Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, German, Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese. As you venture through the center, participate in a myriad activities and learn traditions and customs from local villages including Hawaii, Fiji, New Zealand, Samoa, Tahiti, and Tonga. Whether you are visiting the island village of Hawaii to learn the significance of hula or experiencing the special wedding ceremony while visiting Tahiti, you will be entertained and inspired. Witness a Samoan warrior climb a 40-foot coconut tree or explore the Fiji village and watch presentations held throughout the day, get a temporary tattoo, and tour the 6-story temple.  Your friendly and knowledgeable guide will make sure you see the one-of-a-kind pageant on the water, called Huki: A Canoe Celebration. During the production, you will witness a spectacular show which takes place on boats as they glide along the tropical lagoon. Representatives from each island’s culture dance on their canoe as they make their way around the water. At the end of your day, you will have worked up an appetite for a delicious island-style luau buffet, showcasing a vast assortment of authentic luau entrees, sides, salads, and fruits to please your entire group. After your meal, find your reserved seating for the dazzling luau show, "HA: Breath of Life”, which presents symbolic stories through traditional music, dance, and thrilling fire knives. Buffet menu: • Entrees: Imu pork and Kalua pork, island chicken with Huli Huli sauce, poke bar, Lomi lomi salmon and aioli-glazed white fish, teriyaki-braised beef, vegetarian chili • Side dishes: Hawaiian fried rice or steamed rice, mixed vegetable medley, honey-roasted sweet potato topped with coconut flakes, taro rolls with butter, poi • Salad bar: gourmet blended greens, cucumber salad, macaroni salad, seasonal fruits • Desserts: chocolate cake, haupia with toasted coconut, pineapple bars — an island favorite, bread pudding (house special) • Beverages: soft drinks, raspberry iced tea, coffee, herbal tea
