Les Invalides

There's nowhere better to enjoy the sunshine than the gorgeous Esplanade des Invalides or neighboring Rodin Garden. If it looks like rain, visit Napoleon's tomb at the Army Museum instead!

Planning Your Visit

How much does it cost?

Hop-on hop-off bus tours of Paris are one of the cheapest methods of sightseeing across the city. Prices start at €30 and rarely go above €40 for a single day, with a short Seine cruise even added on!

Which route to take?

Bus tour companies usually operate across various routes (or lines). These tend to serve a pragmatic purpose rather than a thematic one but are generally easy to navigate. Tour listings provide full details. If you don't think you can squeeze all your points of interest into a single day, multiple day tickets are usually available for just a few euros more.

What people are saying about Paris

Eiffel tower good, bus overcrowded and had to stand and boat noisy

We enjoyed the 2nd floor Eiffel Tower visit in the morning but weather overcast so bought evening tickets for visit to summit. Well worth extra as weather brilliant. We then took the Bateaux Parisienne for Seine round trip. This is good way to see all central Paris from the Seine. Only drawback was we sat down below as top deck full of VERY NOISY school children. So not such a good view! The third part of combined ticket was the Hop-on Hop-off Big Bus. Very crowded and probably would not meet UK health and safety standards. We were allowed on to the bus and went to top deck. It was already full with people standing and we had no time to retrace our steps and get off before driver pull away! We remained standing most of journey. It is a good way to see the Central Paris landmarks but not STANDING!

Phil is the man!! Was our favorite guide by far!

Bus is convenient and we used it all day. We bused in for a one day adventure in Paris and then used the Hop on Hop off to get around. From de Orsay, to the Tower, to the Lourve, to the catacombs, etc. it got is where we wanted and needed to be. The first ride was our longest and we had Phil as our guide and he was outstanding, we hated to get off when we hit our stop. Well worth the money spent on this event!!

Difficult to find boarding station at notre dam

All good except that the boarding point in notre dam is not that clearly indicated.getyourguide should provide more pointers on each of the boarding points, I don't think the current content was sufficient to find the notre dam boarding point. Also buses timing are not that great due to a lot of construction activity happening in Paris ( I took the bus in the last week of may 2019)

Great way to get to see Paris and get to main attractions.

Easy to use. We had an issue with bus reading digital tickets but bus took us to main stop where it was quickly resolved. Great way to get your bearings and see parts of the city between the main attractions. Audio tour was interesting, and informative. Traffic at Arc de Triumph was something to see from the top deck.

Based on pure chance an excellent or an average experience.

We booked two days and the river trip option (deluxe). The first day was rainy, with busy streets and no live commentary, relying on headphones. The second was sunny, with an excellent guide (Phil) and truly worth every penny. The river trip as everything in Paris very crowded but Ok. Decent mass tourism.
