We really enjoyed getting to see and know more about the history. Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable about Pearl Harbor and Hawaii in general. He made the bus ride pleasant. The Missouri ship tour was my favorite! It was so cool to go through the ship and see all the different rooms. Also, having our lunch orders already called in and a reserved table for us at the restaurant for lunch was perfect, as it did get busy in there. The only thing I would warn you about, is that breakfast was not provided like stated in the description. We were given a piece of banana bread in the afternoon at the end of the trip. When it said breakfast and lunch included, I was expecting breakfast—at least continental. Even if the pastry had been given to us in the morning, I hardly call that breakfast. So be sure to actually eat breakfast before coming if you think you may get hungry before lunch time. Also it says no bags allowed but you can bring a clear bag.
Taking the Heroes tour provides a full prospective of Pacific theater of WWII. Learning about the role the USS Missouri played in the war was fascinating. This tour had excellent guides. Participants will learn a lot of history not found in any history book. The US Arizona memorial is a somber experience.
Our tour guide Ernie was exceptional. He gave a very informative guided tour and was a lot of fun, making our day a highlight of our time in Hawaii. The lunch provided was very nice and our afternoon tea of banana bread was delicious.
