Full description
On this tour, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the stunning sites of the iconic Golden Circle Route while breathing in the nature and learning about history. Visit Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site as well as a site of cultural, historical and geological significance. The name Þingvellir translates to "Parliament Plains" and is where Icelanders founded their parliament in 930 AD. Walk between the two tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia that are slowly moving away from each other and see the country's biggest natural lake as well as beautiful fissures and other landmarks. Then, see one of the most iconic waterfalls called Gullfoss, where the glacial river drops 32 meters in two majestic sections. Rainbows often occur in the mists of the powerful waterfall, and Langjökull glacier can be seen in the background. Continue on to the Geysir Hot Spring Area, where the colorful hot spring Strokkur erupts 30 meters every few minutes. Stop at the dairy farm Efsti Dalur where they make ice cream from their cows' milk and fresh ingredients. Enjoy an ice cream of your choice while you watch the animals, pet the calves and dogs.

The tour was perfect. It allowed time for each site to take pictures and enjoy what it had to offer. Lava =D was very knowledgeable. The only downside to the trip was knowing where the meeting point was in the morning. We were told by email that we were going to receive an email within 24 hrs of the tour but never received one. We had to contact a customer service rep through whatsapp to get the info and they didn't get to us until 10pm that night of.

Great sites to see! Amazing day!

Our tour guide was great and very informative. I just Wish we had more time in each location. I walk decently at a quick pace but I like to take a lot of pictures from different angles and I felt rushed to get back to the bus in time so others in our group wasn’t waiting on me. 20 min at each spot just isn’t enough in my opinion.

This was an excellent tour, very personal in a mini bus. There was ample time at every stop. Dagur and Thorin, our guides, were very helpful and answered all my questions. The music on the bus was a nice selection of local blues/rock/ indi featuring Kaleo an Icelandic band currently on tour in Canada and the US. I managed to get a ticket to their concert in Grand Rapid MI and will be able to hold on to my Icelandic state of mind a little longer. Takk I will return.
