I chose an Option for two attractions, paid $64 - I chose a cruise around Manhattan (which didn't go around Manhattan due to high water & bridges - no ones fault) - got to the ticket counter with my voucher - required to pay $10 extra. For the second attraction I chose the 911 Memorial - Even with the voucher I had to wait 2.5 hours in line to get a ticket - then waited for another 1.5 hours to go into the museum. I chose a guided tour for an additional $20. I don't really think I saved any money or time using the Explorer Pass. I think this would work better buying the $132 pass offering options for more attractions which I didn't have time for - good for 30 days. I paid like $45 on my own to go to the top of the Empire State Building which was one of the options.
The museum is fitting tribute to the lives lost in 9/12 and the impact this event has had on New York and around the world. It takes you through an emotional journey of the events that unfolded on 9/11 and scars it has left on lives of many and a city. A history of the builing, its importance to Mew York. Enhanced with reall life accounts from families, support services.
We had a similar pass for San Francisco last summer. It's so nice to have options and to be able to skip lines. The hint to go to the Rose Center entrance of the American Museum of Natural History was outstanding! Long lines due to the holidays and a Kwanza celebration but walked right in the side entrance.
We have been to 9/11 memorial and museum and Statue of Liberty/Ellis island. The tickets were easy to obtain as was the hop on off bus. I jus use my phone with the ticket on to scan everywhere I go.
The attractions in New York where fantastic. The app unfortunately is not correct. Collection points where not correct. Leaving us to find a ticket point. So a little stressful.
