Meet your local guide at 2.00 pm in front of the tourist office of Reims Centre train station and start your afternoon with a drive through the countryside. Continue with a visit of a family-run winery.

Tour the still-used traditional press and tank room as your guide details the traditional Champagne producing methods with a concrete and visual approach. Appreciate several tastings of their products and acquire tasting knowledge and expertise with these rare Champagnes.

Drive through the famous Champagne Avenue in Epernay, the capital of Champagne. See wheresome of the most prestigious estates are based such as Pol Roger, Perrier Jouët, Moët & Chandon, and Boizel.

Appreciate a moment in the vineyard, with breathtaking views on the UNESCO world’s heritage Champagne vines, and acquire knowledge about the terroir particularities. Enjoy the village of Hautvillers, the birthplace of Champagne. Visit the church where the famous monk Dom Pérignon is buried.

Picked at exact time mentioned. The guide Martin was knowledgeable and explained a lot about the wine making process. His enthusiasm in explaining and making the experience excellent was much appreciated. Dropped back at train station by 6.30 approx. it was pleasure. We were expecting much more time in walking through the grape farm but left quickly. They took to common place where every tour goes to see the grapes closely.

Xavier is an excellent guide, a native of Reims who not only knows the region from personal experience, but has deep knowledge of wine and the winemaking process (with WSET level 3 credentials). He is extremely personable, informative, accommodating, and gregarious. Highly recommended!

The tour was excellent! I’ve been on wine tours in Australia, New Zealand and Canada and this was the best of them all! The guide was exceptional - so light hearted and fun, and so knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time and the champagne was excellent. Overall, would recommend! 10/10
