Well organized and everything promised kept. The captain was initially grumpy, but gradually thawed out - the office lady was extremely helpful and interested in that. The boat tour is varied and offers a lot of sights. We saw a lot of birds and at least 15 dolphins, fish and crabs. The kayaking was moderately exciting, but the well-informed guide was able to show us a lot on the short walk on the sandy beach on the island. What is missing for the 5th star? A slightly neater reception office that looks less dilapidated. A cool box with water on the boat would not be a luxury either.

Bucket list time

Our guide Ron was friendly, informed and an excellent teacher. He was so passionate about the findings he came across whether it was the low tide treasures he unearthed or sharing his secret stops where Amercian white pelicans congregated or where nesting Ospreys could be observed feeding their young. We were even treated to a surfing dolphin who chased our wake as we headed out to some of the keys. Does it get better than that.

Don was assigned to choose my wife and i on what turned out to be a single couple's kayaking and fauna/sea tour. We had the best time, no-one knew that anyone could have such a great time reflecting, relaxing and learning while in the keys. It was truly bigly big, like really big for the both of us. Jokes aside Don was everything we could've asked for and we all enjoyed the weather, the action (sea turtle, dolphins, brown and white pelicans, stone crabs and bunches of birds, that jumping fish whose name escapes me, along with conch and other shells that we did or didn't know of beforehand.) and the loooow tide adding a bit of (sorry in advance) TRaction to the whole deal. We're back later, because of this experience, to do the mangrove cave kayak tour. Fingers are crossed that Don is working that shift
