Elena our guide was excellent explained history of duomo whilst we waited for our entry time Escorted us up the climb explaining the method of construction and the fresco painted on internal dome Then showed and explained the sights from the top and gave us time to take in the views and to take pictures The climb is strenuous but worth it when you arrive The tour was amazing

We knew we would enjoy this tour, but we really enjoyed it quite a bit more than we expected. Our guide, Jacho, was amazing. He was full of interesting information and kept us in the know about everything we were going to experience along the way. The climb was exhilarating and a lot less daunting than we thought. There are several breaks along the way that make it much more tolerable than we expected. The view from the top is the dome is so worth the climb! Highly recommended!

This experience was phenomenal, and our guide Hillary (not sure if that’s how it’s spelled, forgive me) was fantastic! I can’t speak for the group tours, but the private tour with our guide was very engaging and informative. As a Florence native, our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and context of the structure. During the climb up we learned many fascinating facts about the cathedral and the cathedral’s dome. And of course once you get to the top you get to experience beautiful panoramic views of the city.
