Full description
Begin in the courtyard of the Uffizi Gallery and the Piazza della Signoria, home to the prestigious Palazzo Vecchio. Gazing up at the Loggia dei Lanzi, marvel at these admirable works of art while learning about their history. Follow narrow alleys to the renowned square of Santa Croce. The church here, a smaller version of Florence’s iconic Duomo, is the final resting place of many illustrious Italian historical figures like Dante Alighieri and Michelangelo. Traverse the external path of the Vasari Corridor to Ponte Vecchio, a picturesque bridge with charming goldsmith shops.  Then explore the most authentic districts of Florence: famous for their artisan shops and their ancient tower houses, the Oltrarno district and the neighborhoods of S. Frediano and Santo Spirito boast an international flair mixed with local traditions that provide insight into Florence’s vibrant local scene. From Ponte Santa Trinita, move on to Via Tornabuoni and stroll through the Piazza della Repubblica before coming face to face with Florence’s iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
