Get to know the history of Porto with a guided visit to S. Bento train station decorated with magnificent tiles from the region. Discover Av. dos Aliados and the city council with the statue of D. Pedro IV. Head to the Baroque Clérigos Church and relax for a while in the garden of the olive trees. Discover Lello and how it inspired J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter with a fast entrance, avoiding the big lines. At Cordoaria garden enjoy the sculptures and the beautiful trees. Discover Piolho, a traditional café known by the university students. Take a walk at Rua das Flores where you can see street art and local artisans and head to Ribeira, where you can enjoy the views of the port wine cellars and walk in the narrow and twisting streets.

On this route you will be delighted by the right bank of the Douro River to the sea. Along the way, we will pass through some historical neighborhoods that border the river, from Miragaia, through Massarelos to Lordelo do Ouro. Then we will enter Foz do Douro, a locality that only in the 19th century became part of the Porto municipality. A bathing area by excellence, it was much sought after by the Porto aristocracy. Here we will find the beautiful Jardim do Passeio Alegre and the oldest district of the western part of the city, Foz Velha. Be dazzled by the narrow streets of this neighborhood and with a São João Baptista church on top of it. There will still be time to stroll along the Atlantic, Brazil and Montevideo avenues until you reach the Gonçalves Zarco Square (rotunda do Castelo do Queijo). Here we can see Matosinhos Beach in the distance, famous for surfing, in fact, it is known as one of the best beaches in the north of Portugal for beginners. We go over the viaduct, above Parque da Cidade until Praça Cidade do S. Salvador (rotunda da Anémona), we continue and make our way to the beach. On the way back there will still be time to stop at a special viewpoint, and have a beautiful panoramic view of the Douro River estuary, with the natural reserve and the left bank.

Take a trip on a vintage American vessel with comfortable seating and panoramic interior views of Porto. Enjoy views of the banks of Porto and Gaia, and between the marina of Afurada, before returning to Gondomar and the baroque style Palácio do Freixo building. Pass under the 6 most famous riverside bridges, including the Ponte da Arrábida, Ponte de Dom Luis I, Ponte Maria Pia, Ponte Infante D. Henrique and Ponte São João. See the area of Cais da Ribeira from the water, with its unique architecture and iconic Port wine cellars.
