What a way to finish a amazing trip! Just when we thought we had seen the best Otago/fiordland had to offer, we arrived at true south office and booked in, the staff were amazing, we met James our pilot and he told us what was happening. The flight was just amazing, James was outstanding, not just as a pilot, but his knowledge and friendliness was a credit. The staff at Mt Cook, our guide Scott and the whole glacier experience will stay with us always. Mike the chopper pilot was outstanding. All we can say is .... WOW

We were so pleased to know we were able to go on this adventure as it is very weather dependant and we were not disappointed. Every step in the process was done well with clear instructions given and our safety being the greatest concern which was comforting. The helicopter ride was short but amazing. The hike on the glacier was an incredible experience and allowed us to hike on challenging yet achievable terrain and know first hand what it was like actually being up on the glacier. An experience we all loved!

Had such a lovely time on this walk. The family all enjoyed it as well. Cliff is very knowledgeable, funny and ensured we had a terrific time. Definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to walk through the track (some of which are off the beaten path) with someone that can point out some facts about New Zealand flora and fauna. The tea break near the glacier is enjoyable and provides plenty of opportunities to take snaps.

It was a day trip from Greymouth to Franz Josef. You may choose to skip some of the itinerary to join the 30mins flight at your own cost. It is good for those travelers who have limited times but want to cover all best scenaries. Not really need to stay overnight at Franz Josef.

Beautiful ancient podocarp forest. Pleasant lake ride. Interesting commentary.
