Very punctual pick up from the hotel, then through the south east of the island. Lots of new sights shown, tour mostly on the old roads of Madeira. Explanation of the fauna and botany and the living conditions of the inhabitants. At noon a good 3-course menu, very good. With Nuno Pereira, there were two of us, a very guide. Point deduction only because I had booked a German tour and my English is rather bad, but he spoke slowly so that I understood a lot

Beautiful tour along beautiful places where you normally don't come

This was really what you can expect from a jeep tour. We have been to many places where a large bus cannot reach. I especially found the trip on the small roads through the mountains very special. Beautiful views, beautiful places, beautiful coasts. Nice that we were often allowed to stand in the jeep. We were with only two jeeps so really small-scale and personal. Bit of a shame that the tour was done in German and French while we had booked the English tour. Good and experienced tour guide who showed us many beautiful places of the island. The food at Porto Moniz was simple but very tasty. Picking up was a bit of a challenge for us. We were cruise passengers and were to be picked up in front of the Pestana CR7 hotel. From the quay at our cruise ship we saw a Pestana hotel. After more than 10 minutes of walking (quite steep uphill) it turned out not to be the right Pestana hotel. Then we quickly drove with a taxi to the good hotel where we arrived just in time.
