My husband and I did the tour on Valentines Day (this was an accident, just the best day for us) and were lucky enough to be only two people in the group so Roberto was able to answer all our questions and talk more about the things we were interested in. He was knowledgable about the history, architecture and obviously well known and liked as we were welcomed at each location with big smiles!

Excellent tour around the center of Funchal. Lots of the island's history explained, and the food & drink was excellent. Did it on the first day of our trip and it seemed to cover most of the local food and drink. Highlights were the Madeira wine, scabbard sandwich, and poncha! Tree House bar was also great, we eneded up going back there a few nights later.

We enjoyed an excellent tour with Roberto. The stops were well spaced out with opportunities to sample a wide variety of Madeiran specialties in a range of establishments we would not have necessarily discovered. Roberto was friendly & extremely knowledgeable about the area. The tour gives you not only a sample of local cuisine but also a potted history in a small group environment. Well worth it .
