All museums, forts and places of historical interest in Funchal are CLOSED on Sunday mornings between 9-11 am. You have no business charging money to escort anyone through the streets at that time when this can easily be done without a guide, local or professional. We do not fault Renato, the young man you assigned to us. But you should know that he is only 18, is really more interested and well versed about the mountains and nature and not really knowledgeable enough to host people like us I who are interested in history and actually getting inside some of the buildings to view them. In short, this “tour” was a rip off. Never using your “service” again.

Would have been better if his English was better.

Difficult to communication with Victor. It turned out to be no more than a route March through the old town of Funchal. Also mix up at start. We were at the correct meeting place. We arrived early. He was on time but went to our apartment block. Your earlier call had prepared us for Victor not being a Professional guide but his lack of information about the old town may have been due to his difficulty with English.
