1. From Funchal: Nuns Valley, Monte and Sleigh Ride Tour

Depart Funchal and journey to the Pico dos Barcelos to experience one of Madeira's unique viewpoints. Get a breathtaking view of all points of the island, before making your way up to Eira do Serrado. Admire the surrounding chestnut trees and eucalyptus plants of the natural wonderland. Try some traditional chestnut cake and pastries only found in the region, along with different traditional liquors. Then, go to Monte, one of Madeira´s old touristic stops, and visit the church where the tomb of the Emperor Charles I of Austria can be found. What people are saying about Funchal

The basket toboggan ride and the Nonnental were very nice experiences and just right for the end of the holiday. The pickup with the minibus had been delayed. But were informed via WhatsApp. We also did the sleigh ride first and therefore didn't have to wait and were also brought back to the hotel.

Really enjoyable tour , lots of places visited for a 4 hours trip. Lucy is very knowledgeable and make the trip interesting. Well worth the money , also included toboggan ride, which is fun !

We really appreciated a guide. Liucy told us a lot of interesting things and revealed delicious receptes how to cook polvo a lagareigra and famous bacallau. Thank you very much, Liucy!

Without this tip we would never have seen the nun's valley, fantastic. It's a pity at monte that the memory of emperor karl has become so wild...

The ride with our guide was very nice. Had a good time. Were able to learn a lot about Madeira and try typical baked goods and liqueurs.
