Full description

Look for whales and dolphins in their natural environment on a cruise with a dedicated crew. Powered by 2x 250hp engines, you can expect to cover larger distances than any other boat in Funchal in comfort. This means you will have the best chance to spot marine wildlife. Listen to informative commentary about the sea life of Madeira, as your crew and marine biologist guide make sure you have a great time whilst learning about the local cetaceans, fauna, and flora.

Encounter groups of dolphins, whales, and turtles, and get up-close sightings as you speed across large distances in little time. Marvel as the animals splash about in the water and learn more about these amazing creatures and life in the ocean from your guide.

Wildlife spotters work hard on land to find the animals before you set out on your trip. Depending on the species and sea conditions, you can get very close to the whales and dolphins, but remember, it is wildlife, and the primary goal is to be respectful of their habitat.

Excellent crew, they are very informative all around the trip. Love that they respect the wild animals so much. Had a windy day on the trip but the skippers did his job like a pro. Thanks to the marine biologist Sara who told us exactly what dolphin we saw and prepared us the best they could for the rough ride. Overall, amazing experience ❤️

Great tour, during which we were able to observe dolphins and two types of whales for several minutes and sometimes very closely (according to the guide, however, we were particularly lucky that the animals were so curious). With our always friendly and personable vl guide (marine biologist), you noticed again and again how important the welfare of the animals is to her and that certain rules (duration of observation, proximity, so as not to stress animals) must be observed to protect them. All in all a very nice experience that was worth it, although it was now the fourth whale/dolphin observation (previously Ireland, Iceland and Norway)

We were lucky and saw both dolphins, pilot whales and sperm whales. The guide, Sara, was super good and emphasized that the animals are wild, so you never know if you will meet them. Nice to hear that whales and dolphins are discovered by 'scouts' on land, and sonar is not used to find them. We also had great weather so all was well.
