Depart from Galway and set out to visit Dunguaire Castle and see the former residence of the King of Connacht. Grab a photo with an Irish castle and take a tour through the underground cave at Aillwee Cave or relax and grab a coffee at the café.

I'm not usually very fond of bus tours but this one was brilliant. John B was an amazing guide who you can tell really loves his job. He passionately provided us with lots of insight about Galway and all the attractions we passed. He was extremely interesting to listen to. The tour itself was extremely accommodating. We were given plenty of time at each attraction as well as discounts for tours and a lunch stop.

This is a really great tour! You get a lot in for 1 day. *BE CAREFUL* though if you get motion sickness even relatively easily! This would be a problem for ANY bus tour you take over less forgiving terrain, not just this one, but if you're prone to getting sick in a simple car ride, it is 10x worse on a bus. Fortunately, it was a slow day when I took the tour, so there were only a handful of other people on the bus I was on to witness this; unfortunately, I threw up on two separate occasions from getting so sick (I went to the back and had a bag ready the second time). The tour guide, though--whose name I regrettably forget since I waited several months to review this--was so chill about it it was insane. Due to the small group, we had a bit of extra time, so he also made a special stop along the road to visit a sweet local donkey and we got to feed it an apple. 5 stars for the tour but extra stars for the tour guide.

We had our tour with Gerard. And it was so nice because he told a few anecdotes or made jokes :) Unfortunately, we were not so lucky with the weather at first, so lunch in Doolin was brought forward so that we can see the Cliffs of Moher and not everything foggy is :) We liked it very much, but more time would always be nice. :D
