Full description

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to take the Cliffs of Moher and Burren Tour from beautiful Galway and see some of Ireland’s most attractive landmarks. In fact, sights in this area have only recently appeared in Harry Potter's Half-Blood Prince and also in another movie classic, The Princess Bride.

Start with a stop in the quaint fishing village of Kinvara to see Ireland’s famous Dunguaire Castle, built in 1520. Proceed to the vast rolling hills of The Burren, home to diverse and rich plant growth and containing about 75% of Ireland's native flora. The Burren is also the location of numerous ancient Irish monuments.

See many of them such as the Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb, the 5,800-year-old Poulnabrone Dolmen, and Ballyalban Fairy Fort, home of the little men with green hats and orange beards. Pass through Kilfenora, home to the famous Celtic Crosses (Irish High Crosses), and Lisdoonvarna, home to the world’s famous matchmaking festival.

Make your way to the coastal village of Doolin for a lunch stop before visiting the 200-meter high, 8km long Cliffs of Moher. Enjoy stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands and take your time to soak up the natural beauty of the Cliffs of Moher (minimum 1.5 hour stop - admission included in your ticket).

Return via the Coast Road with gorgeous views of Connemara and Galway in the distance. Finally, make a short stop to walk around on the lunar-like landscape of the Burren and take in some last sights such as the Leprechaun Head before returning to Galway in the evening.

It was a stunningly beautiful experience. The tour guide was friendly, fun and kind. He made sure we saw amazing things on the tour. And the restaurant he stopped at for lunch was the best fish and chips I had in Ireland. Highly recommended! Definitely a lot of bang for your buck.

Incredible work of mother nature, the Cliffs of Moher are just the icing on an Irish-flavored cake. The Burren, the castles, the dolmen peppered the bus ride and were the perfect landscape to the stories of Tommy, the tour driver and guide. Everything is magnificent, even the pub where you eat. I love it!

What a great trip! The sun was shining, the sites were beautiful and Tommy our guide was fantastic!. I am traveling solo and he kept me entertained and chatted with me throughout the trip. I met some nice people and we had a wonderful time. I had booked a trip to Connemara for the next day but was so exhausted Tommy helped me bump out the trip to the day after so I could have a day to rest. In between. Can’t wait for my next excursion. Already looking at other day trips they have to offer.
