Full description
Feast your eyes on dramatic landscapes as you travel by coach through the scenic Arve Valley to Chamonix. Chamonix’s position at the foot of Europe’s highest peak, Mont-Blanc, makes it one of the most popular mountain villages in the area. On this full-day trip from Geneva, you’ll have access to Aiguille du Midi, a rocky 3,842-meter peak close to Mont Blanc. Take a ride up on the most famous cable car in the world, (please note this cable car is currently under maintenance, your tour will feature an alternative cable car or activity). This high mountain site, equipped for your comfort and safety, offers a 360-degree panorama taking in the majestic Mont-Blanc as well as the whole of its massif. In addition, you’ll also enjoy panoramic views of the Chamonix Valley and the major peaks of the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps. The Aiguille du Midi comprises the Piton Nord, the Piton Central with the Mont-Blanc gallery, and the Mont-Blanc terrace with its unforgettable view of Mont-Blanc. Take a charming little red train from Chamonix to the Montenvers site and the world famous Mer de Glace glacier. The Montenvers site is surrounded by the magnificent summits of les Drus, les Grandes Jorasses, and les Grands Charmoz. Learn about the largest French glacier and nature in the Alpine environment at exhibits here.

Many European and American tourists will choose the route. Of course, if you have a good experience

I like this one-day tour very much. Although I am a bad language, I can still handle it and save a lot of trouble to enjoy the scenery of the French snow-capped mountains. It is great! Worth it! Thanks to the staff of get your guide for helping me as a "late" tourist, thank you.

Wonderful places to explore - a must when visiting Geneva!

Check the weather forecast before booking - on a sunny day the view of the surrounding mountains around Aiguille du Midi (incl. Mont Blanc) will be magnificent and unforgettable. With an extra hour time in Chamonix (departure at 6 p.m.) it would be also possible to take a cable a car to Bregant (actually this option was included in the received ticket).

    Amazing trip

Really great trip, aiguille du midi is awesome and not to be missed. Mer de glaci is equally impressive and the ice caves are fantastic. The trip is not a guided tour so you are given tickets for everything, maps and all info and left to your own devices which is much better. Only downside is mer du glace is a bit rushed. The trip really needs to be a bit longer as it isn't really possible to se the ice caves in the one hour their timetable allows. We ignored the recommended timings for the train and got a later one so we could visit the caves properly but did only just make the bus back - I'm not sure it would have waited as they didn't seem to be checking who was and wasn't on the bus! All in all I'd definitely recommend this trip, expensive but we'll worth it.
