From Bali: Private 3-Day Gili Islands Tour with Snorkeling

2. From Bali: Private 3-Day Gili Islands Tour with Snorkeling

In between Bali and Lombok, 3 idyllic islands can be found: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. These little coral islands have a real laid-back tropical island feel and make perfectly placed hideouts from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. With no traffic and nothing but fresh ocean breeze, this 3-day 2-night tour takes you to see two of these islands for an excursion full of relaxation, and special moments to remember for a lifetime. Your first day starts with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Bali, which will take you to the harbor to a speedboat that will arrive at Gili Trawangan in just a few hours’ time. On the way, catch breathtaking views of Mount Agung and the deep blue sea. Once on the island, spend the day relaxing at a beautiful tropical island resort – lounge by the pool, dive in the sea or hop on a bicycle to explore the coastline. Don’t miss the sunset at one of the beach clubs – it’s a true spectacle of nature you don’t want to miss out on! Your second day features a private snorkeling tour on Gili Trawangan’s quieter but equally beautiful sister island, Gili Air. The 3-hour snorkeling tour takes you to see several amazing spots, beautiful coral reefs and colorful marine life. You’ll also get to swim with giant sea turtles, a magical experience! Spend the rest of the day as you like at another tropical resort – sipping cocktails, swimming, sunbathing – before another magnificent island sunset kicks in. If you’re an early bird, start day 3 early to catch the awe-inspiring sunrise of Gili Air. Otherwise, snoozing in bed to the sound of the sea is a lovely way to spend the first hours of your last morning on the Gili Islands. Enjoy one more swim in the turquoise sea, sit down for breakfast and say goodbye to these gorgeous islands. The speedboat will bring you back to the mainland of Bali where you will be transported to your hotel by shuttle bus.

3. From Lombok: Private Gili Islands Trip w. Glass-Bottom Boat

Spend the day exploring the Gili Islands' breathtaking beauty, snorkeling in the clear waters, chilling at the beach, and watching marine life swim by through a glass-bottomed boat on this fun-filled full-day tour from Lombok. Discover what makes Gili Air, Meno, and Trawangan each unique. Get picked up from your accommodation early in the morning and travel to the Teluk Kodek Harbor, where you board a glass-bottom boat so that you can see the fish as they swim about in the waters below. The first stop is Gili Air. Don snorkeling equipment and dive into the clear waters of the island. If lucky, you might spot colorful fish, coral, maybe even a lurking turtle. Head to Gili Meno next and visit a turtle sanctuary before diving underwater to see the famous underwater statues called “The Nest”. Make sure to bring a waterproof phone case or waterproof camera to capture some photos of the unique art installation by sculptor Jason DeCaires Taylor. Have lunch at Gili Trawangan, and spend a few hours chilling by the shores or diving back in for some more Gili snorkeling and other water activities. Then head back to the harbor and return to Lombok to make your last stop of the tour. One of the best photo-op spots in the area, Malimbu Hill is a viewpoint that boasts scenic views of the sea and the shoreline. Snap a few photos to remember the trip by before returning to your accommodation.

What people are saying about Gili Meno

We were picked up from our hotel in a nice car, with a driver and another guide who spoke English. We did have a bit of a mix up on pick up times, we expected them an hour earlier so confirm this the day before. We were then taken to a boat yard to get our boat - we were the only tourists there so we had a private tour! We were a little worried at this point as it looks quite run down when you first arrive but we were introduced to our guide and boat driver and were away! This is very much a snorkelling tour - we were given a snorkel and flippers each in good condition and stopped first at Gili air. Here we saw so many fish and a turtle it was incredible! We had similar amazing experiences off Gili meno and Gili T. Our guide was INCREDIBLE, pointed everything out and filmed us on his GoPro. He was so helpful and patient and really made the trip. After the snorkelling we stopped at Gili T for a lovely lunch and enjoyed the beach. When we were ready to return we were brought back.

Such a fantastic day. The guys on the boat were brilliant, we went to the three Gilli islands and snorkeled in a couple of different locations in each island seeing many different types of tropical fish, turtles and the Statues sunken under water at Meno. We also paid extra for one of the guys to film us throughout underwater which was brilliant. After lunch at Gilli T we chilled out for a few hours before heading home. A great experience and one to recommend.

Really fun trip, Krisna was in constant communication with us throughout the journey and we loved every moment. We wish had stayed on the islands for longer though!! Thanks again

It was our first time in Indonesia and to visit the Gili islands. This was a great way to experience everything that the 3 Gili islands had to offer. It was a real treat!

Really well organised trip with great support would recommend
