I visited this place with my sons: It was amazing to see the long history (since 1920) of the culture, traditions, and experiences of the charros. The competitive activities that include learning how to hold, carry, and throw a rope toward your target the charro way was exhilarating. But by far the most exciting competitive activity offered was the catching of the bull (not wild) with a team like atmosphere. I learned so much about Mexican history, tradition, and culture. Of course, the horse riding was beautiful as well. To cap off the tour, the charros gave a very entertaining speech and shared a poem with us describing the nobility that is exhibited by every true charro. I loved it so much that I plan to visit again to enjoy this Mexican tradition and culture that I hope more people visit and enjoy.

We had a slightly different experience due to covid but it turned out for the better! Our guide, Jesús, took us to a local lienzo for a private family-and-friends-only charro practice session. We still got to see charros lasso wild horses and bulls, but not everyone was a professional or dressed in full charro gear. Instead, the atmosphere felt like a big Mexican fiesta with taco, beer, music, and tequila. Everyone was so friendly and very welcoming to us - the only foreigners! Thank you, Jesus, for sharing with us this important Mexican tradition, and I will highly recommend it for anyone visiting Guadalajara.

This was a great experience!! We went to the opal mine with the owner Eduardo and our guide Luis. They gave I’m using a hammer and you can go anywhere you want to crack open rocks to find opals. It was a lot of fun Afterwards we went to a huge field filled with obsidian. I have never seen anything like it. We had lunch with Luis at a local restaurant next to Eduarfo’s shop and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this experience to anyone!!

Great experience!!! I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like a charro/charra for one day. We learned a lot about this important part of the mexican culture. Thanks jesus for a great tour!

Our Guide Moses and Driver Senor Martin were well skilled and accommodating. They kept our Van load of revellers happy and laughing with humor, music, and fun.
