Tavira, Paraíso del Algarve

2. Tavira, Paraíso del Algarve

We set sail from Marina Isla Canela towards the open sea to sail along the coast of Isla Canela, visiting the islands of fine sand where we will have a swim if the low tide allows it. We continue sailing to enter the waters of the Algarve towards Tavira Island, spotting the beaches of Monte Gordo, Verde beach, Manta Rota beach, Cabanas beach and Tavira Island where we anchor to enjoy a swim in its crystal clear waters. Then we visit the beginning of the Natural Park of the Ria de Formosa to continue towards the Spanish-Portuguese fluvial border along the Guadiana River. We pass between Villareal de San Antonio, with its peculiar pombaline architecture and Ayamonte with its important fish market. At this point we spotted on the horizon the imposing Guadiana International Bridge where we immortalize this unique moment. Perfect moment to enjoy an aperitif and a drink. On the way back we sail at maximum power through the calm waters of the Guadiana, and we enter the La Canela channel if the tide allows it. After an exclusive navigation through the marshes, Isla Cristina, its fishing market and our home port Marina Isla Canela will appear. Drinks and snacks included. We recommend you bring swimwear, towel, beach shoes and sunscreen. Activity not recommended for pregnant women and people with back problems and/or injuries.
