There were only the two of us and the guide which was pretty nice. The horses were well trained but also sometimes tried to find their own way through the woods - which made us laugh a lot! We knew from the beginning that our guide only spoke Spanish. I tried to communicate a bit with my broken Spanish and he always tried so answer my questions in an understandable way. We spent about half an hour at the waterfall (if you don't want to take a bath it will probably be shorter) and all in all we were riding for about 2 hours. So the whole tour was longer than it says. Keep that in mind if you don't have a car! We took the bus from Liberia (6.30am-ish) to the final destination about 3km before the Hacienda and walked the rest (took us about 40min). There is only one bus a day, each to the Hacienda and back (1.15pm).Because of the early bus we arrived 2 hours too early at the Hacienda but they let us do the tour 1,5 hours earlier than we have booked. All in all a great expeirence!

Nice horseback riding. Friendly guide even if not bilingual. It made the ride less interesting. I would have liked to give water to the horses halfway while we refreshed ourselves in the fall. On the way back, we realized that there were many, but far too many horses piled up in the same paddock... 😞 So adequate activity with 4 ⭐️ but 2⭐️ for horse care.
