The Miniatur Wunderland has been constantly growing since the year 2001. Having started with two layout areas, Harz and Southern Germany, the Wunderland has opened the seventh area, Switzerland, in November 2007. More layout areas were opened in 2014. The Miniatur Wunderland is without doubt a wonder, not only because of its landscape and surface area, but also due to the technology that underpins the exhibit. Gerrit Braun and the model-making team have pushed the limits of model construction, with a large part of the exhibit custom-designed and built. It was not possible to use only ‘off-the-shelf’ parts and electronics, primarily because such components are not meant for continuous operation. Additionally, there is a lack of a large parts-base to support the scale of 1:87. Thus, for example, most of the 150 push-button action sequences are custom-created, as are the Car and Ship Na...

It was great. I had my kids with me and it was easy to go along with. It was not too much information and it wasn’t so complicated. The food was great and Christa explained a lot of interesting things about Hamburg. We learned a lot and it wasn’t very rushed or too full. We got many recommendations for good restaurants and museums.

The tour was very good. Unfortunately, the times given here at Getyourguide do not match. It was stated until 4.45 p.m. but that is the time when the last tour ends. But the people on site were so friendly, because there were more people who booked through this portal that the guys packed the bus again and then we went. A clean affair and thanks again to the team on site who handled the portal's error so confidently ... a 6 for the portal. Used once and never again. Better to arrange everything on site.
Unfortunately, the start times of the tour were not written uniformly (voucher and stop different). Nevertheless, the tour was a complete success. Super interesting information, very detailed and amusing. The price is definitely worth it!
We were very satisfied, our guide "Kev" did a great job as a Hamburg original and entertained us consistently.
Very nice tour guide. Has entertained us very well even in the rain.
The driver and tour guide were very nice and friendly.
