First. I love our tour guide, Fun! He is a man that wore many hats during our short but sweet visit to Ninh Bình. A tour guide, an entertainer, a teacher, and a photographer! We picked the 2d1n option and I love that he was so knowledgeable and familiar w the area. You'll be in good hands booking this tour and if you're lucky, you'll get Fun. Have fun :)

A two-day trip not to be missed

Arriving in Vietnam for a two-week trip, We decided to organize a two-day trip to the Ninh Binh region. These two days were the most beautiful of our stay, Alex, our guide was perfect and at little care for us in every detail. A great knowledge of the region and on top of that a human and super cool man, I highly recommend him as a guide. Regarding the tour, I can only have a smile just by rethinking everything we have experienced. Visit the caves of Tam Coc in the Pagoda, an exceptional bike ride in the middle of the rice fields and limestone mountains of the region as well as a hike to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain. The Bungalows are locally owned and the night was fantastic and I can only recommend the food which is excellent. The two days + one night experience is best if you want to have a great time and ask Alex for a guide you wouldn't

Great guide, scenery - very disappointing food experience

Hoa (Bruce Lee), our guide was exceptionally good and discreet. He's very knowledgeable, prompt, on time and does the activities with you. E.g. he doesn't wait at the foot of the hill to wait for you to come down. He was also very accommodating to our requests. We were lucky enough to be the only couple on this tour. The disappointment was the uncomfortable transportation (lacking leg space, plastic cover), the so called "home cooked meals", tasteless, adapted to tourists palate without drinks, a payable add-on. I have been in and out of Vietnam for the past 8 years and dare say I can differentiate good from less good Vietnamese food. The last lunch meal was among the worst I ever had during my stays. The trip itself is definitely worth it, but not at the cost this tour is offered. the USD 30.00 bungalow is nice, Bruce Lee is exceptionally good, but the transportation and the meal organization (venues) and it's quality is far below what I would expect at this price level.
