Sarah was a friendly guide and being a local, she knew her stuff. She was very attentive every step of the way. Her fluency in English was pretty good, which made communication easy. She told my mother and me stories about life in Vietnam and shared about the local holidays. As I am also from a S.E.A. country, it was enjoyable seeing the similarities as well as the dissimilarities. Sarah was also helpful in helping us buy some souvenirs and coffee. 10/10 would recommend a tour with her. Value for money (4 stars): Nothing to do with the guide. My mother was not feeling well so her appetite was much reduced. Sarah helped us order smaller portions and arrange for takeaway so as not to waste food). For a group of 2-3 adults, the food is well worth the value.

Sarah was the best tour guide for this activity, she was informative and professional. She introduced us to traditional Vietnamese food and showed us how to ensure they were vegetarian and the correct way to eat them. She also showed us the best food spots for vegetarians, we tried a variety of foods with her. This was a great start to our trip and made it much easier for us to eat in Hanoi and the rest of Vietnam!

If you want to experience the delicious food culture of Hanoi but don't know where to find amazing vegetarian/vegan dishes, this tour is exactly what you need! Our tour guide (Thu) was the best. She asked us about our food preferences, allergies and what types of Vietnamese dishes we enjoyed and then crafted an itinerary to give us the best experience. We visited 5 different locations, each within a few minutes' walk from the other. I think the best part was, we would never have known or thought to visit any of these restaurants (except for the final destination - Vietnamese coffee). This made us feel like locals for a night with the confidence of knowing that what we were eating adhered to our dietary needs. In addition to sharing stories about the food, Thu wove in stories about the local culture and traditions. It was truly an amazing cultural experience and, thanks to Thu, it exceeded our expectations!
