Love love LOVED this experience! We were picked up near our hotel in the Old Quarter, met up with other participants, went on a guided tour of a local market to pick out ingredients, and then traveled to Rose Kitchen for the cooking class. Over four hours, we learned how to make four dishes from scratch: green mango salad, spring rolls, bun cha, and egg coffee. Our chef and guide, Dana, was a terrific host, explaining the background of ingredients and dishes, teaching some knife skills, helping those of us (me) who aren’t so good in the kitchen, and making it fun for all levels of experience. At the end, we of course got to eat everything we made together. This was an outstanding class and I highly recommend it! Kudos to Dana and everyone at Rose Kitchen for a lovely afternoon.

This experience went way beyond my initial expectations. It was a proper cooking class (we made a banana flower salad, bun cha, spring rolls and egg coffee, all from scratch), although people of different skill levels could follow. Ruby, an amazing instructor, walked us through the market and gave information about all the products you can find there. The villa is absolutely beautiful. At the end they also give a full recipe book with the recipes cooked and the recipes that we didn’t choose.

This was a great experience! We were picked up at the hotel, walked through an outdoor market to buy our ingredients and get a lesson on many Vietnamese foods, and were driven to the class venue. The location is really nice, clean and inviting. Everything was well demonstrated and we had a great time making all the dishes for our dinner. Highly recommend!!
