Full description
Venture into the heart of the jungle on this full-day tour of Cuc Phuong National Park. Explore the park while on a hike, observing the way the jungle comes alive. Visit the langurs and Endangered Primate Rescue Center as well, witnessing them in their natural environment. In the morning, your private guide will meet you in the lobby of your Hanoi hotel. From there, begin your two-hour ride to the Cuc Phuong National Park in Ninh Binh. Upon your arrival, visit the langurs and Endangered Primate Rescue Center. Here, professional staff protect monkeys and langurs from becoming extinct. The environment is kept as close to their natural habitat as possible. Afterwards, enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant, recommended by your guide. Take a trekking trip into the heart of the jungle come the afternoon. As you hike, observe the rare flora and fauna that surrounds you. Listen to the exotic birds as they sing and stand in the middle of the jungle to take in nature in its truest form. From there, continue to walk the trail, taking photos along the way. Late into the day, you will return to the car and transfer back to your Hanoi accommodation.

We spent close to 7 hours in the car on the day & 3.5 hours on location. The driver didnt plan our trip and hit a closed freeway. This trip leaves at rush hour and returns at rush hour. It is NOT 2 hours each way. There was NO mention of the (over) 2600 steps you need to 'climb' to reach the Cave and 1000 year old tree ( Which is basically the tour entirely ) and as my mother is aged 65 we couldn't do it, we could walk all day on the flat or trekking hills. We paid $110 each to spend 7 hours in a car and eat lunch in a forest. We spent 30 mins at the primate rescue centre, which is nice but not worth a 7 hour round trip. Our tour guide spoke and understood little to minimal English. You couldn't ask him questions and when he spoke to you, you understood next to nothing and just nodded your head to be polite. BUT he was so so polite and he tried his very best, lovely chap. We were offered 20% refund. The car was comfy the food was good. This needs an ability / fitness rating!

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that adores nature! Cuc Phuong is by far the best national park I have visited in Vietnam to date. My tour included a fantastic trek through the jungle to see some beautiful thousand year old trees, exploration of the prehistoric man cave network and a huge lunch comprised of authentic (and of course tasty) Vietnamese food! I also got to drive a scooter throughout the national park (for a small additional fee). What's more my guide for the day (Fifi) was exceptional! Fifi was knowlegble, incredibly friendly and endeavoured to make my day as enjoyable as possible. While Fifi helped me customise my experience to be more on the adventurous side - there were other options for those seeking a more relaxed afternoon (including a trip to the animal sanctuary). If you book this trip (which I recommend you do) - definitely ask for Fifi as your guide! The return journey was also very comfortable! Cannot recommend this tour enough!
