Tallinn: Estonian Food, Drinks and History Tour

1. Tallinn: Estonian Food, Drinks and History Tour

Get acquainted with the cuisine of Hanseatic merchants, Estonian peasants, Soviet workers, and find out what Estonians eat today. On this 3-hour guided tour, try 3 dishes with dessert, and taste 3 local drinks. In addition, you’ll taste the famous Estonian green chocolate, berry chips, and much more. The cafés and restaurants chosen for this tour are famous for their special interiors and histories, and are, in a sense, museums themselves. Avoiding the more touristy places, you’ll only hit up places off the beaten path where locals like to go for a truly authentic Estonian experience. This tour is the perfect activity for bad weather, as Tallinn’s cozy restaurants will keep you warm and relaxed.

Tallinn: 4-Hour Sightseeing Tour

2. Tallinn: 4-Hour Sightseeing Tour

Discover the Old Town of Tallinn with your knowledgeable, local guide. Choose from a private or small-group shared tour with a maximum of 12 people for an intimate experience. The UNESCO-protected Old Town has winding alleyways, ornate doorways, and medieval courtyards. Get to know Tallinn's Lower Town, stop at Tompea Hill for stunning views, admire the art at Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, and a have break at the Town Hall.  Spend 2 hours in the Old Town, then hop on a tram to discover the surrounding area. Admire Kadriorg Palace and Park designed by Italian architect Niccolo Michetti. The palace and surrounding manicured gardens are a humbling example of Tsarist extravagance. View the Song Festival Ground to understand an important part of Estonian history. The tour ends back at your original starting point. For cruise ship passengers, choose the Shore Excursion option upon checkout to ensure a timely delivery back to the port ready for your onward departure.

From Helsinki: Tallinn with Round-Trip Ferry & Guided Tour

3. From Helsinki: Tallinn with Round-Trip Ferry & Guided Tour

Embark on a day trip from Helsinki to Tallinn with a 3-hour guided tour in the city. Board a ferry to Tallinn from Helsinki’s port. Be welcomed by your local guide, who’ll take you from the harbor to explore the town. See the highlights of the city, like its main square, Tallinn Town Hall, Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, Toompea Castle, and much more. Tallinn, Estonia’s capital on the Baltic Sea, retains its walled and cobblestoned Old Town, which is home to cafes and shops as well as Kiek in de Kök, a 15th-century defensive tower. The Old Town, dating from around the 15th century, is Estonia’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the city at your own pace. When your tour is finished, you’ll be transferred back to the Port to prepare to embark on Helsinki. On the way back, you can relax and enjoy the services before arriving in Helsinki.

It was a great tour of the old town and showed many of the sites. Tour was a great way to see the sites of old town. Food choices were great, they were more of a snack portion but by the end of the tour you were full. You'll still be able to get dinner in the late evening and breakfast in the morning.

This is an excellent tour that includes many different stops for food, drink and an insight into Tallinn, its food, and its people. The tour provides enough food to leave one sated at the end. We also got an excellent lesson in Estonian history and a tour of Old Town.

Very nice tour with a lot of history about the city and good food along the way. A very nice mix. The (local) guide really knew what she was talking about and was able to tell us a lot about Tallinn. Recommended!

Wonderful lady named Marina met us at the port. Very knowledgeable about the city history. Took us in a tram to the royal palace. Easy to talk to, very approachable. Lovely tales and ghost stories

Very well organized and very interesting tour. We have enough free time in Tallinn. I recommend.
