Full description
Your guided kayaking tour will begin as you check-in at the store front to sign your waivers, grab a bottle of complimentary water, and gear up for the kayak and hiking adventure. You will also be provided with a dry-bag to put all your personal belongings in to keep everything dry on the hike. From here, your group will head out with your professional guide to the Wailua River for an epic kayaking and hike adventure. You will paddle the majestic Wailua River, which is the only navigable river in Hawaii. This peaceful river winds through a tropical garden paradise of abundant palms, ferns, flowers and wildlife. Not only will your guide show you the pristine and natural wonderment of the Wailua River, but they will also teach you about the rich history of the area. Soon you will come to the North Fork where you will paddle leisurely through the Garden Isle’s most beautiful jungle river until you come to the trail head for Secret Falls. Here, you will dock up your kayak before heading out on a moderate hike through the Wailua Rainforest, the original home of the first Hawaiians. These original explorers of the island paddled from the Marquesas Islands to Kauai almost 1,500 years ago. You will hear about the legends of Hawaii and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai’s most sacred area. Hike through Kauai rainforest to the beautiful Secret Falls. The final portion of your hike is to the enchanting Uluwehi Waterfall, which descends 125 feet into a natural pool surrounded by rocks and rainforest. You can take a refreshing dip and play in the pool while your guide prepares your picnic lunch for you and your crew. ** Please note this is not a private tour. This was FANTASTIC! our guide Erickson was 10/10 I would do this again You get 2 snacks, 2 waters a dang good sandwich. I will say we did not wear hiking shoes, we wore water sandals with straps and my son had crocs. Our guide was barefoot. You will cross water so choice is yours on if u want boots or not. Def want traction tho. This is 100% worth it. Would do again. Beautiful scenery makes for beautiful pictures. Waterfall was spectacular and was refreshing to take a dip after a warm walk. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and I left with a few fun stories as well.

This 1/2 day trip was so fun! The kayaking was easy on the big, slow moving river. It seemed the biggest challenge people had with the kayaking was coordinating with their partners - but everyone seemed to have a great time. The hike was excellent and our guide shared information about the island along the way (types of trees, the environment in different weather conditions, etc.). The waterfall at the end of the hike was beautiful and the pond refreshing. I highly recommend this activity!
