It is a somber experience and a reminder of how horrific war really is. The memorial park is well mapped and east to navigate. The 3D video ‘glasses’ gave a better perspective of what it would have been like on the day of the blitz. That was worth the $12.50 fee. Just remember to leave all purses, backpacks in your vehicle. They do provide lockers for those coming in on public transport. Cell phones, wallets, water bottles are allowed. Glad I didn’t miss out on this visit.

It was very humbling, and definitely not the typical tourist "attraction." I have so much respect for our veterans, especially those who have lost their lives. We also had the pleasure of hearing historian Daniel Martinez speak about the details, which was a special treat.

This is a great addition to add to your visit to Pearl Harbor. Please note that this price does not include the boat ride to the memorial site. I would recommend the audio tour for families with older children 9 and up as it adds to the understanding of this tragic day in American History.
