If you have 3-4 hours between flights at the Helsinki airport you can travel to the city center to get an overview of this far northern capital and its inhabitants. You’ll have a chance to meet a local resident, passionate about Helsinki and its culture and history, who will help you make the most of your short time here. The guide will meet you at the airport or train station when you arrive and travel with you to Helsinki’s city center. From the airport, the train trip takes approximately 30 minutes. See some of the city’s most interesting sites, including the magnificent Senate Square and the surrounding 19th-century neighborhood. You’ll also see the unique Church in the Rock and several other places that are local favorites. After the excursion, head back to the airport with your guide, who’ll take you directly into the departures hall.

It was wonderful experience. I was there with my family. It was a bit of walk but very windy so we had to quit it since other family member felt so tired due to the flight of 10 hours. Our guide was Darius and he had a historic knowledge in depth. He was ready to tell about everything you want to know. If i have a chance to visit helsinki again, I will certainly book this trip again. Thanks Darius.

Great tour from knowledgeable and fun guide!

Great way to go for a woman traveling alone. Mikhail was a great tour guide from the very beginning. He contacted me to set the time and place of meeting and offered to help with locking up my luggage at Helsinki airport beforehand. He was at the designated meeting spot right on time, helped me buy my train ticket into Helsinki and took me on an interesting guided walk of the old town of Helsinki then took me back to the airport. All in all it was a seamless and interesting way to spend a 9 hour layover!
