Full description
Discover the area which resides at the end of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and served as the base from where Vietnamese guerilla soldier attacked Saigon. Learn about how the fighters of Cu Chi took the war underground by developing a network of tunnels that stretched as far as Cambodia, which included: meeting rooms, kitchens and ventilation systems. These tunnels served as an effective network for engaging in guerrilla warfare against U.S troops. Don’t miss this short, exciting trip through this labyrinth of interlaced tunnels. Choose how you want to experience it — in a smaller, larger, or private group. See green paddy fields, local farmers and buffaloes along the road to the tunnels for an insight into Vietnamese agriculture. Spend time exploring the maze of tunnels with countless trap doors, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, kitchens, and more. Good value for money, guide 'Mike' was informative and jokey, picked up from and to our hotel. We were picked up 10 mins late, and had what I thought was an unnecessary stop on the way, but this turned out to be a good thing, as all other groups arrived early, so when we got there, there was still other groups, but by time we got to the tunnel walking, we were the only ones left, so had the place to ourselves, which was nice.

Interesting tour, I think is a must to see when you reach Ho Chi Minh. Only thing that could be improved and maybe it is a standard with the other tours is the transportatiom. Luxury options with smaller groups are supossed to be more comfortable however the van or minibus just gets smaller and the seat space is tight.

The tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable, friendly, considerate to everyone's tastes and wishes, good English and kept us well informed about the plan. The van transfer was comfortable (AC, free water and refreshing towelettes). The visit itself was mind blowing! Interactive, immersive, so informative and I had so many questions, all of which were answered. Highly recommended.
