Experience Bruny Island on a full-day eco-adventure from Hobart. Experienced guides will make your adventure fun, entertaining, and informative.  The meeting point is quite central, just a short walk or taxi ride from most Hobart hotels. Check-in at 7:30 am then enjoy a scenic bus tour from Hobart to Bruny Island. After the ferry crossing, savour sightseeing and morning tea on Bruny Island. Morning tea is a freshly baked blueberry muffin and a hot or cold drink.  Listen to live commentary on the bus on the way to the cruise departure point at Adventure Bay. Climb aboard a custom-built boat to embark on a 3-hour wilderness cruise. Explore the rugged coastline, cruising beneath high sea cliffs and entering deep sea caves. Encounter sea and coastal wildlife such as seals, dolphins and whales. At the end of your cruise, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before a sightseeing bus tour of Bruny Island. Lunch is delicious homemade pumpkin soup and a gourmet salad roll with your choice of Tasmanian Salmon or local ham (gluten free & vegetarian options available). After the ferry crossing, relax on the return journey to Hobart. Be dropped back to your hotel around 5:30 pm.

It was fun being on the water but I wouldn’t say it was an eco tour (although I understand it is run as carbon neutral) too much emphasis on the rock minerals and being very close to the rocks. Would have preferred to see more of the island than close ups of some of the rocks. Take note checkin is at 07:45 and whilst the itinerary says ferry at 09:00 what it doesn’t say is that the coach to the ferry leaves at 08:00. We thought we could check in then get breakfast. It would be good if the company amended the timetable to say 08:00 bus departs for ferry terminal. So it’s clear! All up a good day but could be better.

Amazing experience. Lots of rock formations, caves and a blowhole to see. Not for the faint hearted though, as the boat was flying through the air and crashing onto the water over the waves on the wild Southern Ocean side, but very safe due to an experienced skipper and worth it to see the very cute seals sunbathing on the rocks on that side. They gave us some seasickness tablets to help. Lovely morning tea, lunch and snacks. The transfer from Hobart CBD was definitely worth adding.
