Visit a multifunctional space dedicated to the conservation of species and to biotechnological research applied to the environment. Nature and technology are combined here in a new way, unique way. You will find more than 10,000 plants from 120 species of the Pitiusas Islands of Ibiza and Formentera, including species endemic to the area and at risk of becoming extinct in nature.  Discover the "photobioreactor" for the growth of microalgae, consisting of transparent tubes, with a volume of 1200 liters of water each. Microalgae don't need land to grow, but they do need sunshine and CO2 to produce oxygen, just like trees. Learn how typical Mediterranean saltworks function, based on a replica of a traditional salt farm built from silt. Here you can see the so-called "halophilic" plants, which literally translated from the greek means "salt lover" plants. Discover what the water from the sky above Ibiza tastes like. This is now possible thanks to the atmospheric water generators. They catch superior quality water that has never touched the ground, has not been stored in reservoirs or water tanks, nor has it been treated with chemicals, been passed through pipes, or been exposed to toxins, bacteria, and parasites. You will also have the opportunity to discover three ancient beehives, introduced by the Phoenicians and Carthaginians coming from Egypt to Ibiza, and learn how they were used. After that, you will get to know the freshwater habitats, represented here by a lake and a small stream, and their rich biodiversity, home to a large number of birds and insects. Finally explore the forest habitats, where you will be able to identify some plants that have uses in medicine.  The final stop on your tour is the amazing "Plant Piano", where technology teams up with nature to create music.
