This tour... just wow! Our driver Boby and guide Fahmi were absolute legends. Great fun to hang out with for a couple of days. Now the hikes... Bromo is moderate level - not overly difficult, just a couple of steep sections. It's great that Bromo is split into two hikes with breakfast in between. Ijen is hard work - but well worth it. The day I climbed was a bit rainy, but it was still a very enjoyable experience. The blue flames were stunning! Both Boby and Fahmi made this trip extra-awesome with their easy going and fun attitudes. 5 stars for both these gents. The only criticism I have is when I chatted get your guide and asked about the accommodation arrangements and was told we would get our own rooms. This didn't occur and I had to share a room with my mate both nights. This is not a reflection of the activity or the amazing gents that facilitated it though. Get ready for some long days of driving - it's the only downside of the activity but well worth it.

I had an excellent tour! Everything was very well organized by the tour company and the very reliable and knowledgeable driver and guide. All the sites we visited were fabulous, starting from the Buddhist and Hindu temples around Yogjakarta to the impressive volcanoes in East Java. Yogjakarta has a lot to offer and I feel I could have spent a day or two more there. Consider arriving a few days before starting the tour to explore the city. The way from Yogjakarta to the volcanoes is quite long, but it gives you a chance to sit back in the car, observe local life and learn about the country and its culture from the local guide.

A unique experience to do at least once in a lifetime. It was a really intense day but thanks to the excellent drivers and excellent friendly and really fun guides, we discovered a place on the planet that really leaves you breathless.

Was quite an experience. Everything went excellent, from pick up to drop off. Ask for Malik. He is a great guide!!

it's tough trek...not for the faint hearted. Need to be really fit.
