This was the highlight of our Santorini experience for sure! It was easy to book, comfortable transportation, fabulously friendly and knowledgeable tour guides/chefs/vintners! Our guide Stefanos pampered us the entire day. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient! The wine and the fun didn't stop flowing. While we learned so much about the Greek methods of grape growing, the wine itself proved that Mother Nature provides all that is required to produce truly delicious wine. I'm a fan! The cooking class was fun, informative and interactive! The chef and sous chef were wonderful and again patient. Lots of laughs along the way with our new friends and very safe....with all the wine we enjoyed they put safety first and provided 'safety' ie plastic knives! A great meal resulted that our small group of 6 contributed to and consumed with passion. A fantastic way to spend a day. Don't think twice, book this tour now!!
We had an excellent time on our tour, it was kept very small and intimate and each winery we visited had a lovely variety of wines and ambiance; each unique. The cooking class was very fun, the best part was the recipes to take home! After all the cooking we were able to have a nice dinner of chef prepared creations that were the same as we made in the demo kitchen. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who love food and wines.
This was an unbelievable experience. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Nikos, our guide and wine expert, was knowledgeable, funny, and certainly understood the needs of the group. He was able to tailor the tour to our needs. Thalia, the chef, and her assistant were outstanding. Again, Thalia too was able to assess our group and adapt her cooking lesson to all our needs. Well worth the money!
Denis was a a hilarious and knowledgeable guide. He taught us about winemaking in Santorini interspersed with his own comedic commentary. The wines were delightful and the cooking class both enjoyable and instructional. My only suggestion would be to add high bar stools to the counter we used for food prep as it was a LONG time to stand on concrete.
This experience was much better than anything else we did in Greece. Every aspect was well organized. I did this with my college-age daughter who enjoyed it as much as I did. Constantine was a great host and very knowledgeable about wine, food and the island.
