Mt Toubkal Ascent Express Trek 2 Days 1 Nights

1. Mt Toubkal Ascent Express Trek 2 Days 1 Nights

Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil. You will trek with a local English-speaking guide, a local cook, and mules to carry your luggage. This is a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top. Make sure you bring your camera; the views from the summit are spectacular. Mount Toubkal 4167m is the highest peak in North Africa, and is a trekking peak involving no climbing but may involve walking in crampons or holding an ice axe for security (November to April). The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but does involve some easy scrambling and snow slopes. After the first day spent trekking, you will stay at the refuge where you will spend the night, and enjoy Berber hospitality. After an early breakfast the next day, set off and reach the summit as the sun rises, rewarding you with amazing views. The views from the summit are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. During the ascent you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, green valleys, and Berber Villages.

Great hike! The 2nd day is challenging especially the last 200/300 meters to the summit but 100% worth it! The food was plentiful and delicious and the over night accomodation was brilliant with hot showers available. remember to take pleanty warm layers for the top! I would definitely recommend this tour and especially our 2 guides Marian and Jamal I can honestly say I would not have reached the summit with out them, practically dragged my asthmatic ass up the last 200 meter to the summit and I'm soo grateful they did!! Great Jon Marwan and Jamal and thank you x

We had a great time on this hike with our guide Mufasa and cook Mohammed! They were both super friendly. We enjoyed the incredible views while having conversations with Mufasa. He sang and cracked jokes, but also provided great information about the area. Mohammed cooked incredible meals for us. We had a wonderful experience!

The ascent to Toubkal (4167m) as the summit of the Atlas, is an experience of life that must be done. Definitely the best thing we did during the stay in Morocco.

Mustafa is soo a friendly and polite guide. Can recommend the tour:)
