If you are in Innsbruck you cannot miss the top of the mountain tour. Take the funicular and then 2 gondolas to the top for the most picturesque view of the Dolomites. If you decide to hike part way down, HAVE A PLAN, I did get a little lost on the way down using the roads and paths instead of the funicular. Was worth getting lost, but avoid the highway !!

Boarding was unclear for a while, there is a station behind the congress building. Then change 2x to arrive at the top of the mountain. Good walking shoes with a lot of grip are a plus if you want to walk to the cross.

The views were amazing. We hike to the very top at the end and got off at the zoo on the way down. Gorgeous zoo! Big walking day with including the zoo so take water and good shoes!

It is an incredible experience, the view at sunrise is the best, I loved it, I will do it again in the future

A little confusing on where to board the car, when put into google maps!
