Full description
This full-day tour is a perfect way to discover the Holy Land. Led by a professional guide, you will get to explore the religious city of Jerusalem, and discover Bethlehem, which is home to one of the oldest Christian communities in the world. Starting in Jerusalem, you will visit the Mount of Olives, from where you will enjoy picturesque views over Jerusalem and the Temple of Mount Esplanade. Traveling through Jerusalem through the Kidron Valley, you will discover the old city walls, and take in views of the Garden of Gethsemane. Jerusalem is a Holy City of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, and your guide will take you to different neighborhoods that are important to each religion. In the Armenian Quarter, you will explore the bazaar leading to the Wailing Wall Square. In the Christian Quarter, you will view the Stations of the Cross, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which is considered to be the place where Jesus was crucified. Finally, you will walk along the Byzantine Cardo, a 1700-year-old street, to reach the restored Jewish Quarter. To continue your tour in Bethlehem, you will pass through a Palestinian border-crossing, and switch buses to continue your tour with a knowledgeable Palestinian guide. According to Christian tradition, Bethlehem was the birthplace of Jesus. Your guide will take you to see the Nativity Circle, and the Church of Nativity. From there, you will view the cave where it is believed Jesus was born, and Manger Square, where Jesus was placed after his birth. As your tour comes to a close, you will enjoy sweeping views of the Shepherd’s Fields on the way back to Jerusalem.

Perfect day out!

Transfers smooth. Our tour guide El took us on an amazing tour full of interesting key places in Jersusalem. He is knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for his work. Jersusalem on Good Friday was absolutely amazing and by chance we were able to join the Stations of the Cross procession. Too packed to get into the Holy Sepluchre but I was able to return on Easter Sunday on my own and gain entry. We discovered the Armenian, Jewish, Muslim and Christian Quarters of the Old City including the Western Wall; plus visiting the Mount of Olives. In the afternoon to Bethlehem where we had another tour guide. Visited the Church of the Nativity. Great tour guides especially El. Was safe travel and walk about even though highly guarded. Thanks to El leading the way I made it back several times to the Old City visiting the key sights at my leisure. We paid homage to all religions but especially for me as Roman Catholic it was totally cathartic and amazing on this very special day of the year!

Interesting day

A very interesting day. We saw a lot and learned about Jerusalem. Menashe was, like on the previous tour, a great guide. Bethlehem was ticked off quickly, most of the time was spent looking for a German-speaking guide and visiting a souvenir shop. The church is worth seeing, unfortunately we didn't have enough time for it.

Very bad I would not book!!

Guide "Uri" was a disappointment. The whole day wasted. Were too many people with a guide who spoke too softly. It went quickly from station to station. Without historical background or traditional/cultural background info. The guide on 18.3. The name of the man who took us to Nazareth was "Dan" and he was great!! Historical, cultural and religious background information on everything that ever happened in these places. You could really feel what it was like back then. But that tour in Jerusalem was a disaster. Everyone complained!! Certainly half of the troops were dissatisfied. And said that this was the worst tour they had experienced, unfortunately I can only agree with this opinion. Booked with GetYourGuide London, New York. Was always great. This guide called "Uri" should definitely learn from the guide "Dan" goat cheese how to do this job. I'm so angry and disappointed!!! Only had 4 days!!!
