On this half-day tour, your tour guide will collect you from your accommodations in Johannesburg and take the Lion Park, a natural habitat located not far outside of Johannesburg.  Upon arrival at the Lion Park, you will enjoy 1-hour open vehicle safari drive where you will have the opportunity to view these wonderful animals up close and personal. You will then be driven back to your accommodations in Johannesburg.

Day 1: JohannesburgYour South African sightseeing tour begins in Johannesburg at the Radisson Blu Four-Star Hotel. From here, travel to Pretoria to visit the Voortrekker Monument where you'll learn about the history of the Afrikaners and the Great Trek. Drive through the beautiful city of Pretoria and pass by Church Square before heading to the Union Buildings, the seat of the South African Government, for a photoshoot. See the iconic Nelson Mandela statue while here. Next stop, Soweto. Visit the Hector Pieterson Museum and Mandela House before wrapping up your first day with a visit to the Apartheid Museum. Day 2: JohannesburgDepart from the Radisson Blu Hotel and head to the Cradle of Humankind. Located about 50 kilometers from Johannesburg, the Cradle of Humankind is one of eight places in South Africa listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Sterkfontein Caves where the 2.3-million-year-old fossil Australopithecus africanus was unearthed in 1947, and see the Maropeng Visitor Center, a world-class exhibition that was opened in 2005 and focuses on the development of hominins. Day 3: Cape TownGet picked up from the Radisson Blu Hotel in Johannesburg in the morning and travel to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town, embark on a full-day tour that takes you around the entire Cape Peninsula. Discover the wonders of Cape Town, from the pristine beaches to the spectacular sight of Cape Point, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Your day also includes a visit to the sensational Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Day 4: Cape TownStart your day with another convenient pickup from the Radisson Blu Four-Star Hotel in Cape Town and set out on a full-day wine tour. Start in Stellenbosch and make your way through the best Winelands in the Cape. Take part in an optional wine tasting. Day 5: Cape TownSpend the final day of your tour on a full-day safari in a beautiful private game reserve. See South African wildlife in its natural habitat. The reserve is home to over 1,200 species including lions, cheetahs, black rhino, eland, leopards, the Cape clawless otter, and many more. Enjoy the prolific birdlife in the park, which includes the African fish eagle, black-breasted snake eagle, giant kingfisher, Cape vulture, Cape eagle owl, flamingo, ostrich, secretary bird, sacred ibis, spotted eagle owl, black stork, barn owl, and jackal buzzard to name just a few. Starting in Kliptown, one of Soweto´s oldest districts, see the Soccer City Stadium also known as The Calabash. This stadium is located in Nasrec, bordering the Soweto area of Johannesburg, and was one of the many venues constructed for the World Cup in 2010. It has a capacity of just under 95,000 people, and was the location for the final of the tournament. Today, it hosts many concerts by major international artists, as well as many other sporting events. Next, visit the Hector Pieterson Memorial and Museum, situated in Orlando West. This site commemorates the role of the country’s students in the struggle against apartheid and in particular the role played by the school children who took part in the Soweto Uprising of 1976.  Explore Vilakazi Street, in the heart of Soweto. The street is is where Nelson Mandela spent the first couple of nights of freedom upon his release after 27 years of imprisonment. You will walk by this residence and pass by the home of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. As such, Vilakazi Street is the only street in the world that can boast having had two Nobel Laureates as residents. After this, enjoy a traditional kota lunch, followed by a visit to the Apartheid Museum (if full day option selected), illustrating the history of South Africa´s struggle for change and freedom in the 20th century.

After collecting you from your hotel or residence in Johannesburg, your guide will give you a quick tour briefing before you depart for Soweto (South Western Township). Explore the good, the bad, and the ugly facets of this area. On the way to Soweto you will pass the National Football Stadium, which hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 World Cup.  Enter the Diepkloof area, where you will walk past vendors selling just about anything. In Orlando West you will visit Vilakazi Street to drive past the former home of Nelson Mandela and the home of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. You will have the opportunity to read about the Soweto uprising on June 16th 1976, which kick-started the liberation of South Africa. During the tour, you will pass Mandela House. A visit to the museum is optional. The tour continues with a drive to one of the shanty towns, where you will have the chance to interact with some of the locals. Then drive past the Soweto Campus of Johannesburg University and see the view of the largest hospital in the world, Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. After lunch in Soweto you will visit the world famous Apartheid Museum. Here you will learn about the history of apartheid and the South African liberation struggle.

This short tour will let you experience day to day life in the township. Meet your local tour guide and start the bike tour. You will be able to visit famous spots including Nelson Mandela's house, Archbishop Desmond Tutu's house, Vilakazi, Orlando stadium, and the Hector Peterson memorial. Learn about the incidents that happened on the fateful day of 16 June in 1976 when Hector Peterson was shot and killed by the police during the student protests. This tour includes a little bit of exercise and is eco-friendly. You get to cycle on the most famous street on the African continent, Vilakazi Street. Interact with locals and see how life goes in South Africa's most famous township. You will have the opportunity to support local small businesses on the way. You can bring small change or items that you would like to donate.

After being collected from your hotel or residence in Johannesburg, your guide will give you a quick pre-departure tour briefing before you embark toward the Lesedi Cultural Village, only a few kilometers outside of Johannesburg. Here you will visit five traditional villages including Xhosa, Zulu, Pedi, Basotho and Ndebele. You will have the opportunity to listen to traditional music being played, and the fascinating stories told by the people of Lesedi. Enjoy a traditional South African tribal get-together, whilst experiencing some traditional dancing. After the traditional dance, you will head to the Nyama Choma restaurant. Nyama Choma stands for "Great African Feast", and that is exactly what you will experience! There is an extensive choice of African dishes, including crocodile and ostrich. The restaurant is divided into three different themed areas consisting of North Africa, East Africa and South Africa. You will have a lot to talk about after a cultural and fun day in Lesedi.

Look for the legendary wildlife of South Africa on a thrilling 2-day safari in Kruger National Park. Day 1: Benefit from pickup at O. R. Tambo International Airport or your hotel in Johannesburg, and then travel via a panoramic route to Kruger National Park. Head to your accommodation which is based in Hazyview outside the Kruger National Park to freshen up before your 2 hour evening game drive. Look for majestic lions, leopards, and other big cats out for the hunt. Return to camp to enjoy dinner around the camp fire. Day 2: Wake early for a morning game drive when the animals are at their most active. Search for big cats heading home from their nighttime hunts, and hyenas scavenging for remains. Return to camp for breakfast and a last chance to encounter animals in the wild before the drive back to Johannesburg.

Get a taste of the African bush just a short drive from Johannesburg. Enjoy the convenience of a hotel pickup and head to the heart of the Cradle of Humankind where the Bothongo Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve is located. Your first stop on arrival in the park is the Wonder Cave. This natural limestone cave is estimated to be around 2.2 billion years old and is the third-largest cave chamber in the country. Climb down 87 stairs to access the cave before taking an elevator another 18 meters below the ground. Spend some time exploring this fascinating natural site and learn about the stalactite and stalagmite formations, some of which are up to 15 meters high. Emerge from your caving experience and head to the reserve's Wildlife Center to begin your safari. Learn about the amazing conversation work that this park is doing. Meet the animals serving as ambassadors for their species, many of which were rescued and hand-reared and some of which are being rehabilitated. See four of Africa's Big Five as well as African wild dogs, cheetah, tigers, zebras, roan antelope, sable antelope, and more. Following your safari experience, choose one of the three restaurants located in the reserve for lunch. Dine at the Thatch Café for a family-friendly experience or enjoy your lunch on the deck of the Boma Restaurant to admire fantastic views of the park while you eat. For foodies, the Neck and Deck Restaurant offers a fantastic selection of Afro-Fusion dishes. After a laid-back lunch, make your way back to your tour bus and end your day with a return transfer to your hotel.
