We had a wonderful time. I definitely was excited to go, but hesitant about riding an ATV. We got an overview of what to expect and a lesson on riding all terrain vehicles. Then after some reassurance and encouragement from both my family and them, that I would enjoy riding more than just being a passenger, I gave it a try. I’m really glad I did. The experience was a little different than I anticipated, but way more fun. Though I gripped the handlebars as if my life depended on it, the terrain wasn’t too rough and I even took a couple of hills and puddles fearlessly. The tour was very informative and interactive. The brothers were very patient and eager for us to have a basis for understanding the Polynesian culture. They frequently checked to be sure I was doing okay and encouraged me throughout. It was well worth it!
Friendly, lively, and helpful crew and a great snorkel location. My kids were new to snorkeling and did great. My daughter lost a flipper which we had brought, and it didn’t float unfortunately. One of the crew dove and retrieved it! The boat ride out and back in was very enjoyable, and we had a dolphin swimming in front of the boat on the way back. It was a memorable experience. Snorkel gear is provided, but if you are bringing your own gear, keep in mind that full face masks are not allowed for safety reasons. We brought 2 and couldn’t use them.
We loved our stargazing experience! Rich was an excellent guide and picked us up at our AirBnB in Kona. On the drive to Mauna Kea we learned so much about Hawaiian culture and about life on the big island. There were just two of us on the tour so we got a very personal experience! Once at the site, Rich set up the telescope and was able to point out so many constellations... up to 6,500 stars are visible and this was most I've seen in my life by far. It truly was a magical tour! Highly recommended!!
A beautiful way to spend an afternoon off the shores of The Big Island. The captain and crew are very friendly, informative and helpful with the snorkel dive. The snorkeling itself is fabulous off the shores by Captain Cook Monument with extremely clear water and loads of tropical fish. On the way back we were fortunate to see schools of spinner dolphins and a few distant whales.
Covers many parts of the island... Derek (our guide) was knowledgeable & savvy in taking us around different parts of the national park to see / do what was most convenient with the weather. Really enjoyed it.
