Singapore: Historical Bike Tour with Traditional Snacks

2. Singapore: Historical Bike Tour with Traditional Snacks

Discover the real Singapore on this 20-kilometer route through the city by bike. Visit a typical residential town and market to watch people go about their daily lives. Eat like a Singaporean, sampling local snacks and drinks at a “coffee shop”. See old and new public housing, as well as multi-million dollar riverfront homes.   Then, meander alongside the Singapore River, where trade brought to life a sleepy village town in the 1800s. See historically important landmarks, such as the 100-year-old fire station, museums, and places of worship. Of course, you’ll pay homage to the statue of Sir Stamford Thomas Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore.   Learn how WWII affected Singapore, and see monuments that honor those who suffered. You’ll get to understand the melting pot of people from all over the world who call Singapore home.   Finally, fast forward to the present and admire the ultra-modern business district. Jump right into the action as you cycle right along the Formula 1 route (though at a somewhat slower pace).

Singapore: 4-Hour Guided Walking Tour Across the Heartland

3. Singapore: 4-Hour Guided Walking Tour Across the Heartland

Singaporeans originated from many different countries and cultures, and these varied beginnings are what gives them their unique identity today. With this tour, go beyond the city on a cultural tour of the island. Begin in the Heartlands, Ang Mo Kio, with a little-known tradition from the Kampong Era: birds singing. The tour begins when you meet your local guide at 9 AM in front of Yio Chu Kang MRT Station. Then, explore the Heartlands, Ang Mo Kio, with a little-known tradition. The tour is both educational and fun, with many photo opportunities and exciting anecdotes from your passionate guide.

The tour was the highlight of our stay in Singapore. Our guide Alfie did a great job, telling us everything about the city and sharing fun facts. We not only saw the sights, but also houses and places we probably would gave missed otherwise. He also encouraged the communication within the group. The ride itself was relaxed and we also made a little break to try local food and drinks.

Very pleasant tour, away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks to Jassmin & Stanley, the tour has become very personal. No question is too much! Thank you again.
