From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

1. From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

Paddle a canoe and ride a longtail boat on this multi-stop adventure tour from Phuket with private and shared options. Taste local food, swim at Talu Cave, and visit James Bond Island to see the majestic limestone karsts made famous by the 1974 James Bond movie, “The Man with the Golden Gun.” After pickup from your hotel in Phuket, head straight to the first stop of the day, Wat Suwan Khuha, also known as the Monkey Cave, because of the cheeky primates living in the temple complex. Descend into the cave temple and look at the statues and carvings before making your way to the pier. Next, board a longtail boat and sail to the second stop, Panyee Island, also known as the Floating Village. Built on stilts by the local fishermen, the island has been inhabited since the 18th century. Explore the village, taking in local life, before having lunch at a restaurant in the village. After stuffing your belly with delicious local fare, board the boat again to make your way to Talu Cave. Enjoy some free time to canoe and swim in the beautiful blue water. Explore the cave area, where you will find incredible stalactites and stalagmites and unusually shaped rock formations. Then, continue to the day’s main attraction, James Bond Island. Stop at the perfect viewpoint to see the breathtaking 20-meter rock formation, a solitary cliff surrounded by turquoise waters and cliffs. Admire the unforgettable picturesque scenery before starting the journey back to Phuket.

My 15 year old daughter and I had an unforgettable day. The weather was a bit hit and miss, but our guide, Maria, kept a close eye on it for us. When it rained we sat in the boat. We were on James Bond Island before the big crowd. That was very nice. Then by boat to the canoes. You have to experience that yourself. I can't describe it. Then I would miss it. Then by boat to the floating village. Very cool. First lunch, then had enough time for a walk. Well with the guide... otherwise you'll get lost. Nice souvenirs bought for not much money. Once back at the quay, we took the van to the temple cave where you can also feed monkeys, but due to the heavy rainfall at that time, it fell into the water. However, the temple was a special location. We certainly did not regret this tour. Would have been different if the sun had been shining. But all in all we are satisfied. So highly recommended.

An absolutely amazing day. Maria was an excellent guide: very friendly, helpful and made our day that much more special. We went at the perfect time of year as not overflowing with other tourists. It fell down with rain whilst canoeing but this made it more fun. Everyone: guide, canoe guys, boat driver, taxi driver, etc all very experienced, friendly and added to the experience. I would highly recommend and if you get Maria as your guide you will be very lucky, just as we were!

The day was great! Everything was wonderful, we had a great group and had great encounters despite the language barrier. Thanks to our guide Maria, who was great all day to accompany us! I recommend this activity which is well worth its price

We had a blast riding the ATV’s to the big Buddha! Lots of mud and bumps. Would definitely do it again.

Brilliant and so much fun also all the staff is very friendly
