    1. From Lexington: Horse Farm Tour & Keeneland Race Track Visit

Discover why Lexington is known as the Horse Capital of the World on this three-hour tour. Start the experience with a walking tour through the ivy-covered grounds of the historic Keeneland Race Track, home to the world’s most expensive horse auctions. Next, take a peek into the lifestyle of thoroughbred horses as you go behind the scenes at a thoroughbred farm and get up close and personal with majestic horses. Later, enjoy a drive by the famous Calumet Farm and learn about the history of the farm, which was the home of a breeding and racing dynasty that dominated the sport during the 1940s, 1950s, and beyond. Continue the tour to the filming locations of the major motion pictures Secretariat, Seabiscuit, and Dreamer. Finally, visit the grave site of the 1977 Triple Crown winner, Seattle Slew, at one of the most beautiful farms in Kentucky.

Mike was the best tour guide! Amazing experience, would definitely recommend to everyone that has the chance to go on the tour.

Our guide, Mike, amazed us with his breadth and depth of knowledge about the horses, farms, racetrack, jockeys, betting, and the environment that makes Lexington the Horse Capital of the World, which is not just empty marketing words. He lives in the area and knows it like the back of his hand and totally provided us with the flavor and ambience. He told many wonderful stories and answered all questions skillfully and knowledgeably. He was epitome of a great guide. I can say that with some legitimacy because I was an architectural guide for over thirty years in Oak Park, Illinois. My family thanks Mike and your organization for the most enlightening three hours that we had in our week in Kentucky. We love horses and everything about them, and we learned a lot.

This was an amazing tour - especially since we had a horse trainer / owner as our guide Nick Newman. The visit to Keeneland race track was informative and we got fun behind the scenes stories. The horse farms were beautiful and we were able to spend time with the horses. Our tour was supposed to last 3 hours and it ended up being about 4 hours - not one person on the group complained about the extended time - that’s how good it was.

Our guide went above and beyond,I think everyone on the tour enjoyed it.He was so knowledgeable. If and when we go back will book another tour with ya'll. The van was first class compared to some of the other vans that we seen.So glad I booked this one

Mike, our guide, was exceptional, with an insider’s understanding of Lexington and the horse industry. Though I lived her many years ago, I learned a lot! He had a pleasing personality.

Mike was the best tour guide! Amazing experience, would definitely recommend to everyone that has the chance to go on the tour.
