Full description

Train to go to Mars and become an astronaut for the day at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Be a part of the next generation of space explorers inside the Astronaut Training Experience® Center. - Exploring with Lockheed Martin. Be inspired by authentic NASA science and engineering. In the Astronaut Training Experience (ATX), join the crew as they begin a spectacular series of mission simulations including launching, landing, and walking on Mars. Perform a spacewalk through exciting and immersive microgravity simulation technology.

Participate in the launch of NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) rocket as a member of either the launch control team or the Orion capsule crew. Throughout the training, create personalized video logs to revisit after you complete your mission.

As safety instructions and interactive contents are provided in English, participants must be fluent in English
Trainees that are aged 10 - 17 will require a paying, participating adult
This tour does not include admission to the Visitor Complex but this is not required for the Astronaut Training Experience
If you experience seizures, loss of awareness, eye strain, altered vision or other visual abnormalities, dizziness, or any symptom related to motion sickness, you should not participate in the Lander/Rover Simulator
Guests with pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities should not participate

We arrived at the space center and no trip was booked for us. I had purchased tickets through Get Your Guide but they had issued me a voucher and taken my funds but not gone ahead and actually purchased tickets through NASA. This was my sons 15th birthday present we traveled from New York and Get Your Guide had not purchased the tickets from NASA. We had vouchers for the date and I called to confirm but when we arrived no trip had been booked. Terribly disappointing! I am waiting for a refund but this will not make up for the expense of the trip.

All in all really nice and nice opportunity for great photos (don't forget to take them). If you are there anyway and are somewhat affine, you should take part in it.
