Full description

Depart Khao Lak and enjoy a day tour of river rafting, elephant interaction, and rainforest exploration. Visit an ethical elephant conservation center, sail along a quiet river through the rainforest, and learn about sea turtles at a conservation center.

After pickup from your hotel in Khao Lak, travel first to the elephant camp. Spend some time with the gentle giants, bathing and feeding them in a relaxed and respectful environment. Continue the tour with a visit to Sai Rung Waterfall, and enjoy some refreshments. The waterfall cascades 20 meters from a ledge in the tropical rainforest into a lagoon. Surrounded by lush vegetation, the area around the falls also hosts an abundance of local wildlife. Hop on a bamboo raft poled by a local boatman and float along the river for a calm and relaxing ride through the rainforest. Then visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Center to learn about projects aimed at increasing the number of sea turtles in the region. Finally, be returned to your hotel in Khao Lak.

Fantastic trip! Well worth the money I would of paid more. Started the day at the turtle conservation centre, then onto bamboo rafting followed by a delicious lunch. We then went to see the waterfall where we swam in the water and lastly which has to be a highlight was with the elephants where we fed them and bathed them. Our tour guide was great! Highly recommended

We were picked up on time, all points on the route could be reached within a few minutes by car. It started directly with a small waterfall, in which you can also swim briefly. Then we visited the very interesting Turtle Center, where everything was explained to us very well. Then we went to the bamboo raft. That was really great. Attention: you will get wet here too! We were lucky enough to see some snakes hanging in the trees. At the end of the tour there was a very rich and delicious lunch. Strengthened we then went on to the elephant camp. We were allowed to feed the pachyderms and bathe one of them and rub it with mud. That was an unforgettable experience. At least the elephants don't seem to be doing badly there. No hooks or the like were used and no riding was offered. Excursion highly recommended. Even with small children. But take plenty of bathing suits with you!

You can save yourself the waterfall because there is little water and very little space. The turtle station is important because the sick animals are cared for there, but it is not a place to stay for a long time. OUR guide made an effort and told us a lot about the history of the animals, she also made an effort to ensure that we had enough drinks available. The highlight was the elephant camp, highly recommended. THE animals are treated well and can move freely in the large enclosure. Washing and brushing the elephant was a great experience. Before that we were allowed to prepare the food, banana dumplings with dried kernels. At no time did we have the impression that the elephants were being paraded or pushed.
