Thank you Deedee for being a great driver and talking to us about Thailand. The trip was flexible and enjoyable. Our guide at the canoes was very sharp at spotting every kind of animal that was around to see, and, as usual, everyone we encountered was professional, courteous, and kind. I think swimming in a jungle waterfall has to be a bucket list item and now we did it!

Our guide Ran could not have been more accommodating or nice. He went out of his way to tell us lots of interesting facts and his own personal experiences. The canoeing part is excellent and the team there were friendly and look for snakes, monkeys, birds, crabs etc. The waterfall is incredible. The price was quite high but Ran really made it worth the money. The tour finished with a hot spring trip which was OK - not the highlight and because we were the only two on the trip that day, we could leave when we were ready.

We had a wonderful excursion with our driver and guide, Ran. The little Amazon canoe ride was really peaceful and beautiful. We saw some snakes sleeping on the trees as well as birds and lizards. The mangrove trees were spectacular. We went to the less visited national park called Sri Phang Nga. We fed quite a few fishes and started our trek (500 m) through the forest. It was quite a gentle trek and our guide (Ran) was very knowledgeable and showed us the flora and fauna as we were walking. The Tam Nang waterfall was spectacular and was in full flow as it was the rainy season. It was very impressive as we felt the spray from the water. It is one of the highest falls in Khao Lak. After a lovely lunch in the national park we went to the Romannee Hot Springs. It was therapeutic and relaxing but we had to be careful with the hottest pools!! It was a lovely experience though. I will recommend this itinerary as an alternative to staying on the beach.
